Who is the SAT Intensive for?
Any student wanting to prepare for the SAT for the first time or improve their scores before retaking the test.
What do I need to bring?
Paper, pencils, calculator, and lunch. A reminder email will be sent before the first day of class.
Where is the SAT Intensive located?
Holiday Inn Express & Suites
24888 I-45 N
Spring, TX 77386
When do I pay?
You pay a $100 deposit to reserve your spot and then you pay the remaining balance on the first day of class during check-in.
What is the best calculator for the math section?
The calculator that you are used to and most familiar with. If you don’t own one, I like the two linked below (affiliate links that support this site).
TI-84 Plus CS Graphing Calculator
TI-Nspire CX CAS Graphing Calculator
How many times can I take the SAT?
As many times as you like. Some colleges even let you SUPERSCORE and pick your best section scores across multiple SATs.
What if I’ve already taken the SAT?
Chances are you still have areas to improve on and now you have a better idea of what to expect. SAT Intensive will help you reach your goals.
How much can I raise my score?
This depends on each individual student and how much effort you put in. SAT Intensive will give you all the tools you need to hit any goal. The higher your score, the harder it is to increase. If you scored a 1000, then a 200 point increase is totally doable. However, a 200 point increase from 1400 is much harder (but still completely possible)!
What’s the difference between the 3-day option & the 4-day option?
The 4th class is used to finish covering math topics that we didn’t cover the 1st week. Then, we spend the second half of the day reviewing and working on anything students have specific questions about. It is a very valuable opportunity to go back over anything they want to review further. I strongly recommend students attend all 4 classes and only offer the 3-day option as a last resort if they are unable to attend the final week. The final class is a great wrap-up and final preparation before taking the SAT.
Which class option is best?
Pick the $599 option if you can’t attend the final Sunday.
Pick the $799 option for the complete package (24 class hours for less than $35/hour). This is the option I strongly recommend if your student can attend all 4 Sundays.
Pick the $1,025 option if you plan on scheduling some 1-on-1 tutoring with me after the class (this is a reduced rate).
