SAT Intensive - Small Group SAT Prep Class

That Works
Hi! My name is J.C. Reeves and I’ve been a full-time tutor for over 11 years. I take the SAT every year & I score in the 99th percentile. I’ve helped many students improve their scores and have put everything I’ve learned along the way into one comprehensive course. Buckle up! It’s going to be intense.

What is SAT Intensive?

Keep Reading for details on the 4-week Sunday Class
Expertly Designed, Comprehensive SAT Prep Class
This class is completely redesigned for the new Digital SAT. I’ve spent thousands of hours studying and teaching this test and have analyzed it to a degree that borders on insanity. SAT Intensive covers all aspects of the SAT and will help you improve your score.
4 Sundays Before Every SAT (9am-4pm)
Each class meets weekly for 4 Sundays before each SAT. This gives students time to complete homework between each time we meet. We take an hour break from 12pm-1pm for lunch, but the rest of the day is jam-packed with SAT learning!
Limited to 15 Students Per Class
In an effort to keep a small-group atmosphere, each class is limited to no more than 15 students. The average class size is 10-12 students. Because of this, each student will get individual attention and many of the benefits of 1-on-1 lessons.
Pre-class Diagnostic & Personalized Homework
The pre-class diagnostic practice test highlights each student’s strengths and weaknesses. This allows me to tailor the class for each unique group of students and know what to emphasize. Each week, students are given homework with personalized feedback and suggestions based on their performance in class. This helps them study smart and focus on the areas where they need to improve the most.
Fun, Engaging, Interactive Games, Snacks, & Prizes
Everything about the SAT Intensive is designed to be effective. A large part of this is keeping students engaged and interested. Interactive games, snacks, and daily prizes inject some fun into test prep and keep everyone focused.
Custom, Proven Class Material & Strategies
I have created all of the SAT Intensive class material from scratch and fine-tuned the strategies over the years. Each student will receive an exhaustive class packet that includes class notes, detailed question-type breakdowns, specific strategies, one-pagers, extra practice, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the SAT Intensive for?
Any student wanting to prepare for the SAT for the first time or improve their scores before retaking the test.
Where is the SAT Intensive located?
Holiday Inn Express & Suites
24888 I-45 N
Spring, TX 77386
What is the best calculator for the math section?
The calculator that you are used to and most familiar with. If you don’t own one, I like the two linked below (affiliate links that support this site). This is not nearly as important now that the SAT has Desmos built in.

TI-84 Plus CS Graphing Calculator

TI-Nspire CX CAS Graphing Calculator

What if I’ve already taken the SAT?
Chances are you still have areas to improve on and now you have a better idea of what to expect. SAT Intensive will help you reach your goals.
What’s the difference between the 3-day option & the 4-day option?
The 4th class is used to finish covering math topics that we didn’t cover the 1st week. Then, we spend the second half of the day reviewing and working on anything students have specific questions about. It is a very valuable opportunity to go back over anything they want to review further. I strongly recommend students attend all 4 classes and only offer the 3-day option as a last resort if they are unable to attend the final week. The final class is a great wrap-up and final preparation before taking the SAT.
What do I need to bring?
Paper, pencils, calculator, and lunch. A reminder email will be sent before the first day of class.
When do I pay?
You pay a $100 deposit to reserve your spot and then you pay the remaining balance on the first day of class during check-in.
How many times can I take the SAT?
As many times as you like. Some colleges even let you SUPERSCORE and pick your best section scores across multiple SATs.
How much can I raise my score?
This depends on each individual student and how much effort you put in. SAT Intensive will give you all the tools you need to hit any goal. The higher your score, the harder it is to increase. If you scored a 1000, then a 200 point increase is totally doable. However, a 200 point increase from 1400 is much harder (but still completely possible)!
Which class option is best?
  • Pick the $599 option if you can’t attend the final Sunday.
  • Pick the $799 option for the complete package (24 class hours for less than $35/hour). This is the option I strongly recommend if your student can attend all 4 Sundays.
  • Pick the $1,025 option if you plan on scheduling some 1-on-1 tutoring with me after the class (this is a reduced rate).
